Opinions of the highly political Sandy Fowke
The re-election of Bush and the values for which he stands

Many may say that the American federal elections have little to do with me, being an Australian and all. But incase you haven't noticed, lately Australia has been following Americas' lead like an incompetent puppy. The fact that America also has the largest depository of nuclear and biological weapons of mass destruction, and has just voted in a fanatical meglamaniac, also disturbs me.
I don't think that there are any onf hios policies that I don't find offensive, but for now I'll stick to a few that particularly caught my eye. But I'm sure others will be brought up at a later date.

Constitutional ban on all gay marriages.

A ban on all abortions -absolutely no exceptions.

A ban on all unwed mothers from teaching in public schools.

First of all I don't get the problem with gay marriage. Maybe I'm just a little vacant, but I don't see the issue here.
marriage is an oath between two people, to respect and care for each other throughout their lives.
Just because some people make it about God, doesn't mean that is has anything to do with God!
And Just because some people make it about Men and Women, doesn't mean that it has anything to do with men and women.
We are People FIRST.
Rather then seperating us out into little groups gay, black, jew, woman, lower class; they should be trying to unite us as people, Human beings. That is where the TRUE road map to peace lays.
But come on lets be honest. THEY Don't want peace. The more afraid we are of each other, the easier we are to control.
Buy this or your a bad parent.
Vote republican or the Muslims will getcha.
give money to the Church or you'll go to hell

The other issues I have an exteme problem with are his policies regarding Single mothers and Abortion.
It's too easy for a rich white man to pass judgment on women. George W Bush would know nothing about becoming or being a single mother, or abortion for that reason.
let me get this staight...
They cram all this spice girls, britney crap down our throats while we grow up, telling us that if we want to be loved and respected we have to express our sexuality freely and often. Then when the "Side effects" pop up we're punished.
I have an Idea! How about they work out what the hell it is they want from us! and then, even more shocking...TELL US
This isn't about morals, it's about a general fear and hatred of women. They cover it with piles of moral codes and religious ethics, but it's the same old crap that women have been fighting against for too long. I really thought that we were past this stage.

I also noticed that there was no clause regarding single Fathers Teaching - Isn't that interesting...

That might be because there's no clause prohibiting "unwed mothers" from teaching, either. You might want to do a bit of research on the things you've put in this article.

Yeah, the whole unwed mothers and no teaching thing is just a thing some new senator has on his agenda, its not actually a law yet. Although it is sad that he got elected in the first place.

I don't think research is in the vocabulary of someone who spouts crap like this...

So it's illegal to speak out against the President ?That pretty much means that all your ranting about freedom and democracy is crap...doesn't it?

On a side note, I think the law would be crap, too, and would hope that it would never get passed.

My guess? Maybe, he/she hopes that the US will take care of these things for him/her and then tell Australia what to do... but until then, he/she'll probably cry about the US unfairly forcing Australia to follow its lead...
